Seeing God in the world and the things around us begins with recognizing His hand in creation. The Bible tells us in Romans 1:20 that “since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.” The natural world is a reflection of God’s creativity and majesty. From the vastness of the universe to the intricate design of a flower, we see the beauty, order, and intentionality that point back to a Creator. The sunrise, the changing seasons, and the complexity of life all reveal His greatness. When we take the time to marvel at the world around us, we get a glimpse of God’s infinite power and artistry.
God can also be seen in the lives of people. We are created in His image (Genesis 1:27), and through acts of kindness, love, and compassion, we see the character of God being lived out. Every time someone forgives, serves, or extends grace, it’s a reflection of God’s nature at work. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). Through our relationships and the ways we care for others, we can see God’s presence and love flowing through us. In the small, everyday acts of kindness and in moments of great sacrifice, we are reminded of God’s love being made manifest in human lives.
Lastly, we can experience God in the quiet moments of reflection and prayer, in the way He speaks to our hearts and guides us. God is not only present in the grandeur of creation or in the actions of others but also in the stillness of our souls. When we take time to listen, meditate on His Word, and pray, we can sense His presence deeply. It’s in these moments that we realize God is not distant but very near, working in the details of our lives and the world around us. In nature, in others, and within ourselves, God’s presence is tangible, inviting us into a deeper relationship with Him and a greater awareness of His glory.
